Facility Monitoring

Review camera evidence and equipment measurements at the fictional West utility plant. Follow a supplied source time or inspect a past event with the camera, equipment details, site map and pressure history synchronized to one cursor. The industrial example uses a generated silent still-scene recording, with source time fixed at 14:31 UTC.

Simulation controls

Training fixture · fixed source time 14:31 UTC. Generated silent still-scene footage; equipment reports and camera responses are simulated.

Review an event

Select Pressure above supplied limit in Event history to inspect the report and camera at that moment. Play, pause, scrub, change speed, or step between events. Each seek pauses playback. The chart's solid review marker tracks the requested time independently of its sample inspection. Measurements retain their supplied units; this fixture uses bar.

The equipment Inspector and map use the latest report at or before the cursor. Before the first report, condition, data quality and position remain unavailable. Tracks contain only observations available at that moment. The full pressure history remains visible for context; no reading is interpolated at the review marker.

Review window bounds playback. Return to live follows the application's latest supplied reference. It does not use the browser clock as proof of a fresh report. Playing from the end restarts at the review window start. The training host owns a playback timer, while the reusable PlaybackControls owns no clock.

Camera evidence

The requested review time and the decoded frame time are separate facts. MediaFrame shows the frame's capture time and explicit waiting, retained, unavailable or delayed state. The native-video adapter confirms metadata and seek completion before enabling Capture snapshot. A paused seek that remains unresolved for five seconds reloads the decoder once; capture stays unavailable until the requested frame is confirmed. If recovery also takes five seconds, an error directs the operator to Reload media. Failed decoding and rejected playback remain visible; Reload media retries the selected source.

The pump camera has a recording gap from 14:30:25 through 14:30:35 UTC. Selecting that event leaves equipment and history available and shows No recording at the selected time. The unavailable yard camera demonstrates permission and connection states. Equipment without a camera or position remains accessible through the equipment list.

Camera wall shows decoded previews at the shared review time. Open a camera to inspect its details. Bookmark this time saves a time, camera and equipment for this source during the session; restoring it also restores the complete review window. Snapshots are local PNG captures with their confirmed time and source. They can be downloaded or removed and are lost on reload.

Camera requests

Reset camera view requires a connected camera, supplied permission, a live view and an application adapter. Historical views are read-only. The Reject camera requests option under Simulation controls exercises a simulated refusal. An accepted request means the service accepted it; the UI does not infer completion. Transport failures explain that the outcome could not be confirmed.

State ownership

const [review, setReview] = useState(() => initialReview(snapshot));

<FacilityMonitoring
  snapshot={snapshot}
  review={review}
  onReviewChange={setReview}
  onCameraCommand={requestCameraView}
/>;

The application supplies camera permissions, connection state, latency, recording intervals, equipment history, events, geometry and the live reference. Recording intervals use absolute milliseconds with an inclusive start and exclusive end; mediaOffset is seconds in the media file. Equipment pressure values use bar in this reference model. Adapt the model and chart together when using another measurement.

The recipe owns local camera/equipment selection, map view, session bookmarks and captures. The demo host advances playback using elapsed time and stops at the review boundary. Consumers own service authorization, transport, retention, timestamp alignment and the lifecycle of source updates. Camera request results from a replaced source or camera are ignored locally; the application still owns any service-side operation.

The media fixture is embedded in the copyable source so the installed demo works without a separate asset server. It is a 65-second, 960×540, 8 fps, silent H.264 still-scene video (344,268 bytes before base64 encoding). Replace it with application recordings for production. The standalone MediaFrame docs use the same asset at /training/facility-pump.mp4.

The map reuses the shared geographic adapter and local vectors. Copying the recipe requires ol@10.10.0, the standard OPERATOR styles and a Tailwind content scan of the installed core package. There are no external camera, map-tile or location requests in this example.
